Foolproof Pie Crust

4 C flour

1 ¾ C vegetable shortening

1 Tbsp. sugar

2 tsp. salt

1 Tbsp. vinegar

1 egg

½ C water

Makes five single pie shells or 2 double crust pies and 1 single.

With a fork, mix together first four ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining vinegar, egg and water ingredients. Combine the 2 mixtures until all the ingredients are moistened. Then with hands, mold dough into 5 balls.

Chill at least 15 minutes before rolling.
